Project 2: Self-Portrait Triptych

My overall theme for the self-portrait is autumn as it is my favorite season. For the first part of the triptych I wanted to show the sillier side of me. I love Batgirl and dressing up as Batgirl, so I decided to make a Batgirl army. Then for the center I wanted to portray the everyday me. For the third section I only used the outline of me as if I'm invisible; since I'm usually quiet and whatnot people often forget about me so I get to be invisible.

I really really like the one with the empty silhouettes leaning against the trees! The top image I feel like makes the figures look like they are floating a little bit, so maybe find a way to make them look like they are actually resting on the ground.

ariel's second picture was very well executed that i did not at first think all those people were her. her last picture too was very creative and I felt it portrayed her message very well.

haha, i love the first picture..it, for some reason, reminds me of a musical or a play, where everybody is on stage in the same costume, dancing in unison...

...i also like the 3rd image in how you left only an outline of your body

I think you did a great job of using images of your body and placing them throughout your work... I really like the second one with the many different poses placed throughout the piece... I also like how the body and the overall feel of all three of the pieces are very different...great job!

I like how the element of nature was included in each of the images. Even though you are represented in different directions and scenarios the outdoor element keeps them all flowing nicely.

I love all the different aspects of the piece, and how they all work together. I love the last piece and the use of the outlines. Very creative!

this piece is so cool. my favorite piece is the one with your outline all over the nature scene. this piece really draws my attention for some reason and i really enjoy looking at it. i remember seeing you work on it and you really played around with it a lot and i like the final piece. overall i think your pieces are very well done and also have a slightly comical feel to them which is nice and different then how other people approached the project.

The middle one is obviously my favorite. It shows just a few of the many emotions that you have inside! being that I know you I can better understand (or think i do) your ideas behind each picture. I like it and its pretty seemless you can tell that you took apart any other photo's to create a new one.

I just love it.

I think this really shows that you have many sides to your personality. The third image of the silhouettes is by far my favorite. It looks like it could actually be sculptures in that park. Well done.

It is a great job that she designs the same way as what I did for second piece to repeatly making multiple faces in a backgroud.

i'm not going to lie i'm not that big of a fan of the first two images. i don't think that the cut out images of your self are really set down into the backround.. they are obviously placed. they also don't seem to relate to eachother. on the other hand i am OBSESSED!!!!!!!! with the last one.. it's mad good. i think it was executed wonderfully and i think out of the three the meaning behind it is by far the srongest. i like that at first glance you can hardly even see the outlines which just makes the theme even stronger i think if you did a tripitch playing off the theme of this one it would be a much stronger piece
